2010 Classes
It’s a new year and time for change and we have decided to re-vamp our class programme and pricing structure. We are aware that classes are not just about cardmaking techniques but are also an enjoyable morning out for many of our ladies. To make our sessions more relaxed and to try and fit in all the chatting that goes on we have decided to reduce the content from three cards to two, which will give us time for a short coffee break during the class. This also means that we are able to reduce the cost of classes from £9 per session to £6, making them much more affordable in these budget conscious times.
Not only this but join our card club and you can earn free classes! When you attend 4 classes you will receive the 5th class free of charge. So why not try something new and book a class and see what you think.
Full payment for classes will be taken at the time of booking, however customers who attend weekly can secure their place by paying for individual classes one week in advance. Unfortunately once you have booked your place we are unable to offer refunds or transfer the payment in the event of non-attendance, although you are welcome to give your place to a friend.

Card Club Classes

GENERAL CLASSES & WORKSHOP INFORMATION & HOW TO BOOK

Whether you are a craft novice or experienced card maker you are invited to join in our craft workshops, cardmaking classes and scrapbooking crops.
Our handmade card workshops are a great opportunity to try out a new hobby or learn new cardmaking techniques and get inspired with new craft project ideas and products.

We organise all our cardmaking workshops as stand alone classes and all the projects are designed to be completed within one class. Although we plan our workshop programme some time in advance and give a rough description of the finished cards, we do not finalise the exact project details to normally a week or so prior to the class. This allows us to incorporate all the latest techniques and cardmaking products in the class, and ensure we have enough stock if you want to purchase the items used in the class

Each cardmaking class is based on a theme, this might be around a cardmaking technique, for example rubber stamping, dry or heat embossing, decoupage and lots more beside. Alternatively some classes may be themed around an occasion or card type for example masculine cards, christmas cards, birthday cards and so on.
At a general cardmaking class, for example mens card class or rubber stamped cards, you would usually expect to complete 3 handmade cards, for more complex projects such as star cards or other elaborate projects we may make just one card. Either way we are sure that you will leave clutching your wonderful handmade projects proudly.

We dont expect you to make a long commitment to attending a course of classes, although, we do have ladies who have been attending weekly for almost five years! You can choose to attend weekly or just book in as one off to try a new technique, have a go at cardmaking or simply as a nice morning out. The choice is yours.
We currently hold our cardmaking workshops twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, both days classes being the same. The class theme changes every week. Although we may revisit a particular technique, eg rubber stamping, or card shape eg accordian cards, the projects are newly designed for each weeks classes, and we never do an exact repeat of any project.

Our classes are held in our self-contained workshop directly adjacent to our main shop in Stirling Enterprise Park. Located just outside Stirling City Centre there is ample free parking within the enterprise park, therefore you can relax and enjoy our workshops without worrying about parking costs and restrictions. We have a maximum class size of ten so whether a complete beginner at cardmaking or more confident you will get the attention and assistance you need to help you complete some wonderful papercraft projects.

All materials and tools, including trimmers, scissors and adhesives, needed to make the projects are provided. in fact all you need to bring is yourself! Although if you wish you can bring your own scissors etc. We try to ensure that we have a good supply of tools, each participant is given their own basic craft tool kit and fiskars paper trimmer, although in some instances we may ask you to share rubber stamps, punches etc this is only when they are used briefly in the project, that way you spend your workshop time creating and not waiting.

Before each class we make up a pack for each crafter containing all cardstock, papers, embellishments and any other craft supplies that you will need to complete the class project or projects! We always use good quality card etc for all our classes and you will have ample materials to complete your masterpiece, usually with bits left over.
If you do make a mistake in card class dont worry, we usually have extras so you can try again! and we always supply an envelope or make a box for each card made. So that you have the chance to practice your basic cardmaking techniques we rarely pre-prepare any parts of the project, that way you work through each step of making your card, and will therefore be able to recreate the project at home.

All workshops need to be booked although you can phone 01786 473222 for last minute places. We take a £5 deposit at time of booking and the remaining balance is paid on the day. We are unable to refund or transfer deposits in the event of cancellations although you can give your place to a friend. Class duration times are given as a guide only as classes can both finish earlier or later than anticipated. Usually later!
All our regular craft classes are designed for adults and we regret that we are unable to accept under 16 year olds at the workshops however keep your eyes peeled for our carer and kid classes in the school holidays.
Our shop and craft class are accessible for customers with disabilities, including customers who use a wheelchair. If you have any particular needs or difficulties please let us know when booking your class. This allows us to make minor adjustments to seating arrangements etc to ensure your comfort and enjoyment during the workshop
